Westborough and Dry Doddington Parish Council meetings

The council meets 5 times a year, usually at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of the month. Meetings alternate between Westborough and Dry Doddington Village Halls. In addition each village has an Annual Parish meeting, usually in April or May of each year.

  1. Election of Chair and Vice Chair 
  2. Public Forum:  Meeting to adjourn to receive questions and comments from residents of the village on any matter relating to tonight’s agenda. (15 minutes maximum)
  3. Apologies for absence from meeting
  4. To receive Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in accordance with Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012
  5. Confirm minutes of last meeting 10 March 2022, previously circulated
  6. Community benefit fund (CBF). and approve budgets for projects:
    a) To approve in principle Dry Doddington Green winter ‘fence’
    b) To receive update on projects and  agree any other action required
  7. Highways, Bridleways, Footpaths and Trees
    a)  to agree action  for litter picking equipment  
  8. Insurance
    To review existing insurance and to resolve to pay annual premium £167.49
  9. Finance
    a)   to receive internal auditors report and review internal audit controls 

b)  to approve 2021-22 accounts and answer any questions raised
c) Annual Audit for 2021-22. To consider the Accounting Statements and to approve the Annual Governance Statement and Accounting Statements by resolution; including ensuring the Accounting Statements are signed and dated by the Chair of the meeting
d)   to approve payment to Zurich insurance of £167.49, Environment SK of £175.98,  volunteer expenses,   LALC training course fee,
Payments already made for festive lights £637.02, Dry Doddington Green edging £30.16
Receipt of £469.89 for VAT repayment and Precept of £2500
e) to reappoint Mr N Poulson as Internal Auditor

  1. To review and approve Standing Orders, Financial regulations, Asset register and Risk assessment, to include future treatment of assets.
  2. Dry Doddington Village Poor Charity Trust - to receive trustees’ report
    To appoint trustees for a 5 year period
  3. To receive the County and District Councillor’s reports
  4. Clerk’s report / Matters arising not elsewhere on the agenda – intermediate audit, Jubilee grant of £565 for Dry Doddington, Annual Village meetings
  5. Meeting to adjourn for comments/observations by members of the public
  6. Matters for urgent discussion without resolution
  7. Confirm the date of next meeting Thursday 7 July at Dry Doddington Village Hall
